Tutoring That Builds Independence
My goal is not simply to help you finish your next assignment. I want you to develop skills you can use on the assignment after that—and throughout your education.
In our sessions, we work together to understand course material, develop ideas, build arguments, analyze evidence, improve writing, and solve problems. I explain not only what makes academic work effective, but why.
Students leave sessions with a clearer understanding of what they are doing and greater confidence in doing it independently.

Considering whether online tutoring is right for you?
If you have concerns about online tutoring, you are not alone!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many students struggled during the shift to large-scale online schooling because they lacked the interaction and individual support that make learning effective. Many students faded into the background and their learning suffered.
My online tutoring sessions are different. They are not lectures delivered through a screen—they are interactive, one-on-one learning experiences. Students actively write, discuss, revise, and solve problems with me throughout each session. For subjects such as English, writing, French, and social sciences, online tools often allow us to collaborate even more directly by editing, annotating, and building skills together in real time.
Whether online or in person, my goal is the same: to create a supportive learning environment where students feel engaged, challenged, and confident.
